The mainstream spot quotation range for toluene in the East China market is 6,400–6,450 RMB/ton, down 30 RMB/ton from the previous trading day. Domestic toluene and xylene spot prices fluctuated narrowly with weak transaction activity. The impact of easing tensions in the Middle East and the decline in crude oil has largely been absorbed, while the aromatics night session showed limited movement due to a lack of clear direction. Current holding costs are relatively high, and overall inventory pressure remains low, providing some support to prices. However, downstream demand is subdued, traders are cautious in procurement, focusing mainly on rigid demand with little willingness to replenish inventory. Amid the tug-of-war between long and short positions, the aromatics market is expected to experience minor fluctuations in the short term.
