Lithium Argentina announced that its core asset, the Cauchari Olaroz salt lake lithium project, has successfully achieved its expected brine production targets. Meanwhile, the application process for the Phase II expansion permit is progressing in an orderly manner, and the company has simultaneously initiated comprehensive cost-reduction measures across the entire process. According to operational data disclosed by the company this Tuesday, since its official commissioning in 2024, the Cauchari Olaroz salt lake lithium project produced approximately 34,100 tons of lithium carbonate in 2025, precisely within the annual expected range of 30,000 to 35,000 tons. Among this, the project's lithium carbonate output in the fourth quarter of 2025 (as of December 31) was about 9,700 tons, with an average capacity utilization rate reaching 97% of the nameplate capacity, demonstrating excellent operational stability. Lithium Argentina also revealed that the joint venture company submitted two key applications last month: one for the environmental permit for the Phase II expansion of the Cauchari Olaroz project, and the other for special financing under the "Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI)" introduced by Argentine President Javier Milei. According to the expansion plan, the Phase II project will add an annual production capacity of 45,000 tons of lithium carbonate, significantly boosting the overall production capacity upon completion.
