Published on 2026-02-27
February 27th News: On February 26th, the closing price of the styrene market in Asia rose by USD 5 per ton, reaching USD 980–990 per ton FOB Korea and USD 980–990 per ton CFR China. Chempricehub’s analysis of styrene, with a bullish-bearish score of +1, reported that the spot closing price of styrene in Asia increased by USD 5 per ton to USD 980–990 per ton FOB Korea and CFR China, indicating an improvement in market fundamentals and a potential increase in demand, which provides favorable support for spot prices. Based on data from the Dalian Commodity Exchange’s styrene futures, the main contract 2604 closed at CNY 7,570 per ton, with a settlement price of CNY 7,602 per ton, declining by CNY 19 on the day, reflecting short-term weakness in futures performance. However, the rise in spot prices typically signals stronger future demand, which may drive a recovery in futures prices, thus warranting a moderately bullish score of +1.
