Chempricehub Alert: Jiayang New Materials Adhesive Project Approved
Published on 2026-02-14
February 14th News On February 11th, Guangdong Jianyang New Materials' 168,000-ton adhesive project passed the energy-saving review. The project, located in Sanshui, Foshan, involves a total investment of 670 million yuan and is scheduled to commence production in August 2027. It will include the construction of three polymer material production workshops and the procurement of automated equipment such as reaction kettles and distillation towers. Upon reaching full capacity, the project will produce 168,000 tons of polymer materials annually, covering various products including polyurethane adhesives and acrylic adhesives. Additionally, supporting production and auxiliary facilities will be constructed. Chempricehub Analysis on Acrylic Acid, Bull-Bear Score: 1 This project involves the annual production of 168,000 tons of adhesives, including acrylic adhesives, which will increase the potential demand for acrylic acid as a raw material. As a key upstream raw material for polymer materials, the anticipated rise in demand for acrylic acid may provide support for spot prices, reflecting a short-term positive outlook. Specifically, the project's large scale (with a total investment of 670 million yuan) and its successful energy-saving review have bolstered market confidence in supply-side growth, potentially driving a moderate increase in acrylic acid spot prices.
