ChemPriceHub Alert: Slight Decline in Soda Ash Inventory Supports Prices
Published on 2026-04-24

April 24 – On April 23, domestic soda ash inventories stood at 1.8676 million tons this week, down 0.63% from the previous week. Among them, light soda ash inventories were 918,400 tons, and heavy soda ash inventories were 949,200 tons. According to Chempricehub's evaluation of soda ash, the bullish/bearish rating is +1. Domestic soda ash inventories this week totaled 1.8676 million tons, a decrease of 0.63% compared to the previous week, with both light and heavy grades experiencing a simultaneous decline. This indicates a slight tightening on the supply side, steady demand, and provides support for spot prices, benefiting short-term upside. Based on futures market data, on April 23, the main contract, such as 2609, closed at 1,254 CNY/ton, up 10 CNY, with a settlement price of 1,263 CNY/ton and active trading volume, reflecting a generally bullish market sentiment. The inventory reduction reinforces expectations of improved supply-demand dynamics, and combined with the upward trend in futures, both factors collectively support prices, earning a rating of +1 for a moderately positive outlook.
