Chempricehub comments on phenol, Bull/Bear Score: 1
On May 19, Zhejiang Petrochemical raised its phenol price by 200 yuan/ton to 8,200 yuan/ton (ex-works delivery at Jiangyin warehouse). The company's two phenol-ketone units, totaling 1.3 million t/y capacity, are running stably with moderate inventory, and spot supply is mainly allocated to contract users. This price increase provides significant positive support to phenol spot prices.
Bisphenol A, Bull/Bear Score: 0.5
Phenol is the core raw material for bisphenol A production. This rise in phenol price will increase the production cost of bisphenol A, providing some positive support to bisphenol A prices.
