LFP Project Commissioning Boosts Demand for Upstream Raw Materials

Published on 2026-09-14

Chempricehub, September 14:

The first batch of products has rolled off the line at Zone B of Sichuan Fulin New Material Co., Ltd.'s annual production project for 350,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate (LFP). The project is a joint investment by Fulin Precision and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), with Zone B scheduled to complete its capacity ramp-up this month. The output is sufficient to manufacture power batteries for approximately 1.4 million pure electric passenger vehicles. Leveraging the comprehensive industrial chain infrastructure within the De'An Industrial Park, the park achieves direct supply of core raw materials including lithium, phosphorus, and sulfur, thereby establishing a complete value chain spanning "resource extraction—lithium salt processing—lithium battery materials."
