Market Analysis of the Failed Methanol Auction by Yankuang on September 3

Chempricehub, September 3 - On September 3, Yankuang Group's methanol auction results were as follows: Yulin Yankuang methanol had a starting price of 3,030 CNY/ton, with an offered volume of 4,000 tons; all lots failed to sell. The company's Phase I 600,000 tons/year methanol unit and Phase II 800,000 tons/year methanol project are both operating steadily. Yankuang Guohong's methanol auction, meanwhile, saw a factory-gate spot price of 3,300 CNY/ton on a cash basis, also resulting in a failed auction. Its 640,000 tons/year coal-to-methanol unit is currently running with both furnaces in operation.
