On February 27, the mainstream spot quotation range for xylene in East China was 5,670–5,680 yuan/ton, down by 30 yuan/ton compared to the average price of the previous trading day. The domestic toluene and xylene markets were consolidating sideways. In the previous trading day, domestic toluene and xylene prices experienced a slight decline, with the aromatics sector continuing to weaken. Market confidence remained insufficient, and buying interest was relatively weak, putting pressure on prices. Downstream sectors had actively replenished their inventories earlier, resulting in limited short-term spot pressure, which provided some support to prices. It is expected that the market will experience a narrow and slightly weak adjustment within the day.
