On July 28, Chempricehub reported the soda ash prices in East China. Light soda ash was quoted at approximately 980–1,560 RMB/ton in the mainstream market, with a reduction of 70 RMB/ton from July 27; dense soda ash was quoted at approximately 1,180–1,250 RMB/ton in the mainstream market, with a reduction of 50 RMB/ton from July 27. Actual transactions are subject to negotiation.

The soda ash market continues to have high inventory levels. Downstream sectors mainly adopt a demand-driven approach for procurement, resulting in a subdued trading atmosphere. The soda ash market in East China is undergoing weak consolidation.
