On September 22, the acetic acid market in South China strengthened. Ex-works prices were quoted at approximately RMB 4,625/ton on a self-pickup basis, marking an increase of RMB 75/ton. Acetic acid producers reported comfortable inventory levels, while methanol feedstock prices remained elevated, providing strong bullish support to the market. Downstream buyers primarily purchased according to actual demand, sustaining the upward trend in the acetic acid market.
