February 13th News: The mainstream quotation range for the xylene market in South China is 5,600–5,800 yuan/ton, down 100 yuan/ton compared to the previous trading day. Sinopec South China Company’s listed prices for xylene are as follows: Guangzhou Petrochemical’s isomer grade is priced at 5,850 yuan/ton, Maoming Petrochemical’s isomer grade at 5,850 yuan/ton, and Sinopec-Zhanjiang Refining & Chemical’s isomer grade at 5,850 yuan/ton. Spot trading tends to be sluggish before the Spring Festival, with the domestic toluene and xylene markets consolidating sideways. Overnight crude oil prices fell sharply, coupled with weak futures trends in pure benzene and PX, exerting downward pressure on the aromatics market. It is expected that the toluene and xylene markets will remain weak and consolidate overall before the Spring Festival.
