It was learned on March 22 that regarding the suspension of power generation and transmission at Unit 6 of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant in Niigata Prefecture, Japan, due to an electrical leakage, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) stated that the damaged components have been replaced, and power generation and transmission have been restored on the same day.
Previously, on March 12, according to TEPCO, Unit 6 of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant, which was undergoing trial operation, triggered an alarm in the afternoon, indicating a minor electrical leakage in the generator. TEPCO decided on March 13 to halt the unit's power generation and transmission to conduct inspections on the related situation.
