All three polyolefin units at the Sinopec-Saudi Aramco Gulei project achieved successful first-time startup.

ChemPriceHub, September 30 — Recently, the three core polyolefin units of the Sino-Saudi Fujian Gulei Ethylene Project successfully completed commissioning and achieved a one-time successful startup. All systems operated stably, and key product specifications fully met design expectations. This marks a decisive step toward the full-scale commercial operation of the entire Sino-Saudi Fujian Gulei project.

The three units that have been successfully started up have a combined annual capacity of 1.55 million metric tons per year (MTPA), as listed below:

• 550,000 MTPA PP-H/R unit (homopolymer/random copolymer polypropylene)
• 600,000 MTPA LLDPE unit (linear low-density polyethylene)
• 400,000 MTPA ICP PP unit (impact copolymer/random copolymer polypropylene)
