On September 16, the methanol market in Shandong Province saw upward price trends. In Zibo, Shandong, negotiated prices for methanol rose by 65 yuan/ton to reach 3,660 yuan/ton (delivered, cash on delivery). Prices in central Shandong were quoted at 3,600–3,630 yuan/ton. In Dongying, Shandong, market prices increased by 60 yuan/ton to 3,650–3,660 yuan/ton (delivered, cash on delivery), while another report indicated negotiated prices in the same region at 3,590–3,600 yuan/ton (cash on delivery, delivered).
