The report noted that on December 26th, the spot price of styrene in Asia increased by USD 20 per ton, closing at USD 845–850 per ton FOB Korea and USD 855–860 per ton CFR China, indicating strong spot market demand and tight supply, which is favorable for the spot market. Combined with the styrene futures market, recent main contracts such as the 2602 contract closed at CNY 6,787 per ton, rising by CNY 89 for the day, with open interest increasing to 341,890 lots, showing that the futures market is also strengthening. The expectation of rising spot prices is likely to further drive up futures prices.
