ChemPriceHub Alert: Guangxi Huayi Acrylic Acid Project Procurement Announcement

Published on 2026-02-04

Recently, Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. is procuring warehouse logistics management system development services for its 320,000 tons/year butanol-octanol and acrylate project (including 160,000 tons/year butanol, 160,000 tons/year 2-ethylhexanol, and 80,000 tons/year 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, with a total investment of approximately 20 billion yuan) and the supporting 20,000 tons/year polymerization inhibitor project (Phase I: 10,000 tons/year hydroquinone unit, with an investment of about 4 billion yuan) under construction in the Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone. The shortlisted candidates for this service have been publicly announced on the China Tendering and Bidding Public Service Platform from January 29 to February 2, 2026.

PriceSeek Analysis of Acrylic Acid, Bull-Bear Score: 1
The project adds 80,000 tons/year of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate capacity, which will directly increase the demand for acrylic acid feedstock. With a total investment of 20 billion yuan and the procurement of logistics services already publicly announced, the smooth progress of construction and enhanced demand expectations may support or drive up the spot price of acrylic acid, representing a generally positive development.
