ChemPriceHub Alert: Sichuan Yongjing Increases Hydrofluoric Acid Production Capacity

On February 5th, the Sichuan Yongjing Wet Electronic Chemicals and Electronic Specialty Gases Project outlined plans to construct facilities with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid, 20,000 tons of semiconductor-grade hydrofluoric acid, and 200 tons of semiconductor-grade hydrogen fluoride, with a total investment of approximately 1.06 billion yuan. PriceSeek's analysis of hydrofluoric acid indicates a bearish score of -1. Sichuan Yongjing's plan to add annual capacities of 50,000 tons of electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid and 20,000 tons of semiconductor-grade hydrofluoric acid, with a total investment of 1.06 billion yuan, will significantly increase supply by 70,000 tons per year. Against a backdrop of stagnant demand growth, this is expected to exert downward pressure on spot prices of hydrofluoric acid, with a score of -1 indicating a generally bearish outlook.
