Chempricehub Alert: Successful Commissioning of the Wuhuan Xiangyun AHF Project
Published on 2026-04-17

April 17th News — Recently, the phosphorus-fluorine new materials project invested and constructed by CCCC Wuhuan Xiangyun Phosphorus-Fluorine New Materials (Hubei) Co., Ltd. has made positive progress. The project adopts the complete set of technology for producing anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF) from fluosilicic acid independently developed by China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. Using fluosilicic acid, a by-product of the wet-process phosphoric acid unit of Hubei Xinxiangyun New Materials Co., Ltd., as raw material, it has established a 15,000-ton-per-year AHF production unit. The unit achieved a successful first-time trial operation, producing premium-grade products with a purity of 99.9%.

Chempricehub Analysis on Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride, Bull-Bear Score: -1
The successful commissioning of this 15,000-ton-per-year anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF) production unit, which yields high-purity premium-grade products, significantly increases market supply. As a bulk chemical raw material, AHF is primarily used in refrigerants, fluoride production, and other fields. The release of new production capacity may lead to short-term oversupply, exerting downward pressure on spot prices. Considering the current market supply and demand situation, although the increase in supply is not disruptive, it may restrain price rebounds, thus warranting a generally bearish score.
