ChemPriceHub Important Notice: Xylene prices in South China have increased by 50 yuan, but short-term pressure is expected to lead to a decline.

Published on 2026-02-03

In South China, the mainstream quotation range for xylene is 5,900-6,000 yuan/ton, up by 50 yuan/ton compared to the previous trading day. Sinopec South China's listed prices for xylene: Guangzhou Petrochemical's isomer grade is priced at 6,000 yuan/ton, Maoming Petrochemical's isomer grade at 6,000 yuan/ton, and Sinochem Refining's isomer grade at 6,000 yuan/ton. Domestic toluene and xylene prices have weakened slightly and may continue to fluctuate and decline during the day. Coupled with the deepening decline in crude oil prices, market sentiment is bearish. Although current inventory levels are low, increased supply from refinery destocking before the Spring Festival will put pressure on short-term prices, leading to a trend of fluctuation and weakening.

PriceSeek Analysis of Mixed Xylene, Bull-Bear Score: -1.5
The 50 yuan/ton increase in South China quotations indicates localized support, but domestic prices overall have weakened slightly. The deepening decline in crude oil prices has led to bearish market sentiment, and increased supply from refinery destocking before the Spring Festival adds pressure on short-term prices, resulting in a fluctuating and weakening trend. A continued decline is expected.

Toluene, Bull-Bear Score: -1
Domestic toluene prices have weakened slightly, influenced by falling crude oil prices and expectations of increased supply. Market sentiment is bearish, and short-term prices may continue to fluctuate and decline.
