Published on 2026-01-03

December 30th News — According to customs data, the total import volume of titanium dioxide from January to November 2025 was 67,800 tons, a significant year-on-year decrease of 19.88%. Among these, the cumulative import volume of chloride-process products from January to November was 40,800 tons, a decline of 27.49% year-on-year, accounting for 60.2% of the total import volume. The cumulative import volume of sulfate-process products from January to November was 27,000 tons, a slight decrease of 4.77% year-on-year.

Chempricehub's analysis of titanium dioxide, with a bullish-bearish score: +1.5

From January to November 2025, the total import volume of titanium dioxide decreased by 19.88% year-on-year, with chloride-process product imports falling by 27.49% and sulfate-process products experiencing a slight decline of 4.77%. This indicates a significant tightening of import supply. This situation may lead to an imbalance between supply and demand in the domestic titanium dioxide spot market, where reduced supply coupled with relatively stable demand could drive up spot prices. The decrease in import dependence reflects supply-side constraints, which are favorable for an upward price trend. However, attention should be paid to the substitution of domestic production capacity. Therefore, it is rated as generally positive but with relatively high intensity (+1.5).
