Chempricehub, October 23 — Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and disruptions to strait shipping persist. Iranian-origin cargoes destined for the domestic market have declined significantly. Overseas supply is prioritized for higher-priced markets in Southeast Asia and India. Estimated arrivals in October are merely 430,000–450,000 tonnes, a low level. Limited replenishment from floating storage means the short-term import methanol deficit remains difficult to bridge.
