On September 3, 2026, the latest basis quotes for port ethylene glycol spot contracts (polyester grade, imported, mainly ethylene-based, minimum order 500 tons) are as follows: (Basis = spot price − October futures contract price)
This week's contract (delivery before Sep. 4): opening basis quote range +1050 to +1080; basis then ticked up, with sellers currently quoting +1100.
Next week's contract (delivery before Sep. 11): opening basis quote range +980 to +1000.
Late September contracts: opening basis quotes scarce, at +810 to +840.
Late October contracts: opening basis quotes scarce, at +360 to +400.
