Chempricehub, September 2 – The latest basis quotes for spot contracts of port ethylene glycol (polyester grade, imported, mainly ethylene-based, minimum order quantity 500 tons) are as follows: (Basis = spot price – October futures contract price)
- This week’s contracts (delivery before 9.4): Opening basis quotes ranged from +900 to +920; basis subsequently edged up to +980 to +1000, and has now slightly rebounded to +1000.
- Next week’s contracts (delivery before 9.11): Opening basis quotes in the call auction were indicated at +840; basis subsequently rose to +860 (pending orders), and has now slightly rebounded to +950 to +970.
- Late-September contracts: Few opening basis quotes were available. Yesterday’s closing quotes stood at +670 to +710; basis subsequently rose to +800 to +810, and has now slightly rebounded to +810 to +820.
