April 13th — Recently, the phosphorus-fluorine new materials project invested and constructed by Zhonghua Chemical Wuhuan Xiangyun Phosphorus-Fluorine New Materials (Hubei) Co., Ltd. has made positive progress. The project includes the construction of a 15,000 tons/year anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF) production unit, which successfully completed its first feed trial run, producing premium-grade products with a purity of 99.9%.
Chempricehub Analysis:
Fluorspar, Bull-Bear Score: 1
This project adds 15,000 tons/year of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride production capacity. As a key raw material for hydrofluoric acid production, the demand for fluorspar is expected to increase. Tightening supply may drive up spot prices, benefiting the market. However, attention should be paid to downstream absorption capacity to avoid short-term fluctuations.
Hydrofluoric Acid, Bull-Bear Score: -1
The successful feed trial run of the project adds 15,000 tons/year of premium-grade hydrofluoric acid supply, increasing market availability. Capacity expansion may intensify competition, putting downward pressure on spot prices and creating bearish pressure. Monitoring changes in industry inventory and downstream demand follow-up is necessary.
