ChemPriceHub Reminder: Environmental Impact Assessment Announcement for Sierte's Phosphorus-Fluorine Project
Published on 2026-01-17

On January 13, Guizhou Sierte New Energy Materials Technology Co., Ltd. conducted the first public announcement for the environmental impact assessment of the (modified) phosphorus-fluorine new materials mining and chemical integration industrial park project. The project includes the construction of a 100,000-ton/year industrial-grade phosphoric acid (85% H3PO4) unit, a 50,000-ton/year potassium dihydrogen phosphate unit, along with supporting facilities such as a 650,000-ton/year phosphate ore pretreatment (including magnesium removal) unit, a 400,000-ton/year sulfur-based sulfuric acid production unit, and a 150,000-ton/year wet-process phosphoric acid (equivalent to 100% P2O5) production and purification unit. Additionally, the project involves the construction of a by-product comprehensive utilization unit, which includes the production of 10,000 tons/year of sodium fluorosilicate, 50,000 tons/year of phosphorus-based fire extinguishing agents, 40,000 tons/year of water-soluble fertilizers, and the harmless treatment of 800,000 tons/year of phosphogypsum and magnesium removal slag.

PriceSeek Analysis of Fluorite Ore, Bull-Bear Score: 1
This project will produce 10,000 tons/year of sodium fluorosilicate, increasing the demand for fluorite ore, as fluorite ore is a key raw material for sodium fluorosilicate. This additional production capacity is expected to boost spot market demand for fluorite ore, supporting price increases, especially against the backdrop of tight supply, which is favorable for spot prices.

Fluorite, Bull-Bear Score: 1
The project involves the production of sodium fluorosilicate, with fluorite as the main raw material. The increase in demand directly benefits spot prices. The 10,000-ton/year sodium fluorosilicate production capacity corresponds to additional fluorite consumption, which may shift the market supply-demand balance toward tighter conditions, benefiting spot price performance.
