In August, output from China’s sampled titanium dioxide plants was 383,400 metric tons, down 0.52% month-on-month and up 3.59% year-on-year. The capacity utilization rate for the month stood at 73.30%, down 0.28 percentage points from the previous month and up 0.21 percentage points from the same period last year. Although some facilities resumed production after maintenance during the month, others were newly taken offline for maintenance. As a result, overall output declined over the month, and domestic titanium dioxide supply showed a decrease.
Sample description: Based on a sample of 49 titanium dioxide producers nationwide, Chempricehub calculates China's titanium dioxide output data. The sample coverage rate exceeds 95%.
Term definition: Titanium dioxide output refers to the quantity of titanium dioxide that meets quality standards and is actually produced by titanium dioxide producers on a daily basis.
