[Chempricehub] Sep 8: Attacks by Houthi forces on Saudi oil facilities and the continuation of the US-Iran military conflict pushed international crude oil prices higher amid supply risks. NYMEX crude oil futures October contract rose $1.55/bbl to $93.03/bbl, up 1.69% from the previous trading day. ICE Brent crude oil futures November contract rose $0.92/bbl to $97.92/bbl, up 0.95%. China INE crude oil futures 2610 contract rose 14.8 yuan to 703.3 yuan/bbl, and rose 11.4 yuan to 714.7 yuan/bbl in the night session.
Today, China's domestic cyclohexanone capacity utilization rate is about 59.5%. The cyclohexanone integration trend continues to improve, with many units co-producing caprolactam. Merchant supply is stable, and downstream chemical fiber orders are being followed on a need basis.
Sinopec raised pure benzene prices at its refineries in East China, South China, and Central China by 550 yuan/ton to 9,900 yuan/ton, effective September 10.

Based on the East China market, today's cyclohexanone market price is referenced at 10,700–10,800 yuan/ton, up 75 yuan/ton from the previous trading day, an increase of about 0.7%. Raw material pure benzene prices rose at high levels, putting significant pressure on costs. Cyclohexanone spot supply is stable; driven by the cost side, market prices increased.
Today, cyclohexanone–caprolactam integration continues to improve, merchant cyclohexanone supply is stable, and market supply is stable.
The feedstock pure benzene is running at high levels, putting significant pressure on costs. At present, cyclohexanone spot supply is stable, but downstream buyers are cautious about following high-priced cargoes. In the short term, the cyclohexanone market is expected to run stronger in line with pure benzene.
Pure benzene market: On September 9, East China pure benzene spot negotiations were at 9,380–9,500 yuan/ton, with an average of 9,440, up 340 from the previous working day; late-September negotiations were at 9,300–9,470, with an average of 9,385, up 310; late-October negotiations were at 8,870–8,980, with an average of 8,925, up 220; late-November negotiations were at 8,760–8,870, with an average of 8,815, up 205. Unit: yuan/ton.
Caprolactam: Today, the East China caprolactam market price is 14,000 yuan/ton on an acceptance and delivered basis, stable compared with the previous working day. The cost side continues its upward trend, while caprolactam is mainly stable with a wait-and-see stance.
