EIA Approval Granted for Weifang’s 600,000 TPA Lithium Iron Phosphate Project

Chempricehub, October 9 — On October 8, the Weifang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment approved the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) project with an annual capacity of 600,000 tonnes. The project, developed by (Weifang) New Energy Materials Technology Co., Ltd., will be constructed as a new facility in the Yangkou Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park in Shouguang City. It is planned in three phases, achieving a total production capacity of 600,000 t/a upon completion of all phases. The total investment amounts to RMB 7.44 billion, including RMB 50 million allocated to environmental protection, accounting for approximately 0.67% of the total investment.
