A 600,000-ton/year ethylene glycol unit in Sichuan is currently restarting and has not yet produced output; the unit was shut down for maintenance in August.
As of September 10, total EG inventory in East China's main ports was 117,000 tons, down 3,000 tons from Monday and down 22,000 tons from last Thursday. In detail: Zhangjiagang 45,000 tons, Taicang 31,000 tons, Jiangyin and Changzhou 24,000 tons, and Shanghai and Changshu 17,000 tons.
As of September 17, 2026, total domestic ethylene glycol arrivals in East China were 39,000 tons, with Zhangjiagang at 26,000 tons and Taicang at 13,000 tons.
