As of July 22, 2026, the total arrival volume of ethylene glycol at East China ports reached 116,500 tons, with 56,500 tons at Zhangjiagang and 60,000 tons at Taicang.
As of July 16, total ethylene glycol (EG) inventory at major East China ports stood at 380,000 tons, down 13,700 tons from the previous period. The breakdown is as follows: 160,000 tons at Zhangjiagang, 131,000 tons at Taicang, 46,000 tons at Jiangyin and Changzhou, and 43,000 tons at Shanghai and Changshu. During the period, average daily shipments from Zhangjiagang were 4,800 tons, while those from Taicang were approximately 6,200 tons.
A 700,000-ton/year ethylene glycol unit in South China began its warm-up restart today and is expected to start producing product soon. The unit had been shut down for maintenance since March.
