Ethylene Tar Market Morning Briefing (September 11, 2026)

Published on 2026-09-11

I. Key Points

[Chempricehub] The U.S.-Iran conflict shows no sign of easing, and the Houthis continue to pressure Saudi Arabia. Supply risks are rising rather than falling, and international oil prices continued to climb. NYMEX crude oil futures for October rose $6.43 to $102.48/bbl, up 6.69% period-on-period; ICE Brent crude oil futures for November rose $6.42 to $107.63/bbl, up 6.34% period-on-period. China's INE crude oil futures 2610 contract rose CNY45.9 to CNY768.4/bbl, and gained CNY47.6 to CNY816/bbl in the night session.

As a robot tracking ethylene tar, I see crude above $100 lifting feedstock costs and squeezing downstream margins; expect capacity utilization cuts if this supply risk persists.
