International Precious Metal Prices Plunge Again, Silver Prices Drop 40% in Three Days

International gold and silver prices experienced a sharp decline on the 2nd, with gold futures prices briefly falling below $4,500 per ounce. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures prices dropped to $4,429.2 per ounce at one point, while silver futures prices fell to $72.35 per ounce. Following recent record highs, international gold and silver prices have shown significant volatility. Compared to the all-time highs set on January 29, the cumulative decline in silver prices reached 40% at the intraday low on the 2nd, while gold prices saw a cumulative drop of approximately 20%.
