Market Trading Situation of Xylene in South China on February 6

In the South China region, the mainstream quotation range for xylene is between 5,800 and 5,850 yuan per ton, down by 10 yuan per ton compared to the previous trading day. The listed prices of xylene by Sinopec South China Company are as follows: Guangzhou Petrochemical's isomer grade is priced at 5,850 yuan per ton, Maoming Petrochemical's isomer grade at 5,850 yuan per ton, and Sinopec-Zhanjiang Refining and Chemical's isomer grade at 5,850 yuan per ton. In the previous trading day, domestic toluene and xylene market prices experienced varying degrees of decline. The aromatics market continued its weak trend during the night session, compounded by the ongoing reduction in downstream spot replenishment gaps ahead of the Spring Festival. Market buying sentiment is expected to remain weak during the day. However, refinery inventories are mostly at low levels, and there is no expectation of further deepening of short-term supply-demand structural contradictions. Considering the overall weak market sentiment, it is anticipated that the bidding prices for toluene and xylene will continue to experience slight downward pressure during the day.
