A 1.8 million-ton ethylene glycol (MEG) plant in Northeast China is currently operating stably at 70–80% of capacity. One of its 800,000-ton lines is scheduled for maintenance turnaround of approximately 15 days in the fourth quarter.
As of June 11, total MEG inventory in the main East China ports stood at 611,000 tons, down 7,000 tons from the previous period. A detailed breakdown: Zhangjiagang 298,000 tons, Taicang 201,000 tons, Jiangyin and Changzhou 56,000 tons, Shanghai and Changshu 56,000 tons. In terms of shipments: during the period, average daily shipments from Zhangjiagang were 8,700 tons, and from Taicang around 2,400 tons.
As of June 17, 2026, the total expected arrival volume of ethylene glycol in East China is 4,700 tons, all at Zhangjiagang; no arrivals are planned at other storage areas.
