Morning Market Update for Aromatics-Related Products (September 20, 2026)

Published on 2026-09-20

I. Key Points

  1. The November ICE Brent crude futures contract closed at USD 103.87/bbl, down USD 0.95/bbl, a day-on-day change of -0.91%.
  2. The production-sales ratio for gasoline from Shandong local refineries stood at 91%, up 12 percentage points from the previous day; supply and demand remained unbalanced.
  3. Trading activity in the aromatics-related products market was moderate, with sellers offering discounts to move inventory.

Core Logic: International oil prices fell for three consecutive sessions. Downstream customers purchased based on actual demand. Overall market trading activity remained moderate.

II. Price List

Product Region Sep 17 Sep 18 Change
Aromatics-related products Shandong 8,537–8,603 8,450–8,503 -87 / -100
Aromatics-related products East China 7,100–8,620 7,000–8,620 -100 / 0

Notes:

  1. Mixed aromatics refer to products output by domestic reforming units.
  2. All RMB prices listed above are ex-works cash-inclusive tax-inclusive prices.
  3. Prices represent point-in-time values from the two preceding working weeks prior to this week, not weekly averages.
  4. The "Change" column reflects the day-on-day rate of change.

III. Market Outlook

International crude oil futures closed lower for the third consecutive session, providing limited sentiment support for domestic aromatics-related products. Yesterday's gasoline production-sales imbalance led to slowed factory shipments. Over the weekend, factories continued to offer discounts to clear inventory. Consequently, aromatics-related products are expected to trade weakly today.
