The mainstream market price for heavy soda ash ranged from approximately 1,170 to 1,300 yuan per ton, with a price reduction of 30 yuan per ton on January 4. The operating rate of soda ash production saw a slight increase, while market inventory levels rose. Downstream purchasing followed demand-based patterns, and the overall trading atmosphere in the market remained moderate. In the short term, the soda ash market in East China is expected to operate under a wait-and-see approach.
