Chempricehub News, August 25: In July 2026, China imported 5,448.5 tons of acrylic acid and its salts (acrylic acid), up 2,523.76% month-on-month, with an average import price of US$802.67/ton, down 45.78% month-on-month. In the same month, China exported 9,073.13 tons of acrylic acid and its salts (acrylic acid), down 29.22% month-on-month, with an average export price of US$1,162.91/ton, down 2% month-on-month.

That massive import surge at cut-rate prices will compress acrylic acid margins. If downstream demand can't absorb it, expect idled capacity utilization and more export competition.
