Petroleum benzene output was 364,600 tons, down 31,400 tons from the previous cycle, a decrease of 7.70%. Capacity utilization rate was 60.71%, down 5.18 percentage points from the previous cycle. During this period, units at Shenghong Petrochemical, Weilian Chemical, and Longjiang Chemical were under maintenance, while units at Taizhou Petrochemical and others were restarted.
The domestic benzene hydrogenation unit operating rate was 62.17%, up 7.2 percentage points from last week. During the week, units at Panjin Ruide, Inner Mongolia Qinghua, Hebei Rongte, Hebei Minhai, and Hebei Ruixin Jinhua were restarted.
This week, capacity utilization of the key downstream industries styrene and caprolactam increased compared with the previous period, while capacity utilization of aniline, adipic acid, and phenol declined. Specifically: the styrene unit at Zhangzhou Gulei was restarted during this period and has begun producing; caprolactam units operated with normal fluctuations; Fujian Wanhua's aniline unit was taken offline for maintenance; Dongying Huatai is undergoing maintenance from June 22 to July 1 and is currently running at 50% load; Shandong Jinling has returned to normal operation; the phenol/acetone units at Shenghong Refining and Longjiang Chemical have successively entered shutdown status; and Huafeng Phase II adipic acid unit is under maintenance.
Looking ahead, taking into account recent maintenance and restart activities, capacity utilization of styrene, phenol, and caprolactam is expected to rise, while that of aniline and adipic acid is expected to decline.
