According to the commodity market analysis system of Business Society, the domestic market average price of caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate was 1,148 yuan/ton on January 28, compared to 1,046 yuan/ton on January 1. The price of ammonium sulfate increased by 9.71% this month.

II. Market Analysis
This month, the price of ammonium sulfate showed a strong upward trend. The operating rate of coking-grade ammonium sulfate experienced narrow fluctuations, while the operating rate of caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate remained relatively low. The rise in urea prices this month indirectly supported the ammonium sulfate market. Supply-side factors provided support for ammonium sulfate, and demand gradually followed. Downstream buyers exhibited increased enthusiasm for purchasing amid rising prices, leading to improved market sentiment for ammonium sulfate. Manufacturers experienced smooth shipments and maintained firm pricing strategies. As of January 28, the mainstream ex-factory quotation for coking-grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong was around 1,020 yuan/ton, while for caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate, it ranged from 1,120 to 1,160 yuan/ton.

Based on the weekly K-line chart from November 3, 2025, to January 10, 2026, domestic ammonium sulfate prices showed mixed fluctuations within the cycle. In January, ammonium sulfate prices rose significantly, with the largest increase occurring in the week of January 12, when the price decline was 3.14%.

III. Future Outlook
Business Society’s ammonium sulfate analyst believes that domestic ammonium sulfate prices will continue to trend upward in the near term. Currently, market transactions for ammonium sulfate are active, with downstream buyers replenishing stocks as needed and inquiries increasing. It is expected that the domestic ammonium sulfate market will maintain a strong performance in the short term.
