According to CNN, on March 17 local time, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran issued a statement saying that the Bushehr nuclear power plant area was attacked around 19:00 that day.

It is reported that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated that the attack did not cause any personnel, financial, or technical facility losses, and no departments of the nuclear power plant were damaged.

In the statement, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran strongly condemned this act as a serious violation of the international law provision that "military attacks on nuclear facilities are strictly prohibited."
