① Today, the bisphenol A (BPA) market continued its downward trend due to weak demand and high willingness among sellers to offload inventory.
② Prices for phenol and acetone declined today, leading to an overall drop in cost prices.

Based on the East China region as a benchmark, today’s East China BPA price closed at 10,850 CNY/ton, with a trading range of 10,800–10,900 CNY/ton, representing a decrease of 100 CNY/ton from the previous trading day, which aligned with morning expectations. The domestic BPA market continued to decline today. Demand showed no signs of improvement, buyer enthusiasm remained low, and holders lacked sufficient psychological support, leading to increased willingness to sell and lower offer prices. There were limited actual transactions in the market, and the negotiation center shifted downwards.
Today, the capacity utilization rate for BPA stood at approximately 71.77%, while industry profit margins were at -1,011 CNY/ton.
In the short term, the BPA market is expected to remain weak. Trading sentiment between buyers and sellers is unlikely to improve soon, with low downstream procurement enthusiasm and limited participation. Holders are primarily focused on selling, maintaining a bearish outlook, and low-priced inventory remains available, suggesting the market will continue to operate weakly in the short term. It is recommended to closely monitor actual downstream procurement expectations and production/shipping schedules of major manufacturers, and to proceed with caution.
Phenol: Based on the East China region as a benchmark, today’s phenol price closed at 9,275 CNY/ton, a decrease of 75 CNY/ton from the previous trading day. The domestic phenol market softened today. With both raw material prices trending downward, cost support weakened. Downstream terminal enterprises showed average follow-up in purchasing, with low intent for rigid demand offers. Holders faced difficulties in selling and offered discounts. Amidst the downtrend, market participants adopted a wait-and-see approach, resulting in insufficient transaction activity.
Acetone: Based on the Jiangsu region as a benchmark, today’s acetone price closed at 8,250 CNY/ton, a decrease of 100 CNY/ton from the previous trading day. The East China acetone market continued its downward trend today. At the beginning of the week, a wait-and-see atmosphere prevailed. Port inventories rose to 24,500 tons. Holders adjusted their offers according to market conditions to sell inventory, but downstream enterprise participation was limited, resulting in a quiet overall trading atmosphere. Major factories lowered their opening prices in response, but actual transactions were scarce, and overall trading performance remained mediocre.
Epoxy Resin: Based on the East China region as a benchmark, today’s ex-factory net weight price for liquid E-51 epoxy resin closed at 15,000–15,300 CNY/ton, remaining unchanged from the previous period. In the Huangshan region, the spot cash price for solid E-12 epoxy resin closed at 14,400–14,800 CNY/ton, unchanged from the previous trading day, aligning with morning market expectations. Raw material BPA prices loosened. Although the epoxy resin market suffered significant losses previously, factory offers remained temporarily stable. Downstream demand maintained only rigid requirements, causing the market center to consolidate.
Polycarbonate (PC): Today, the domestic PC market operated in narrow-range consolidation. By the afternoon close, the negotiation range for domestic-grade PC materials in the East China market was 12,750–14,950 CNY/ton, with some centers dropping by 100 CNY/ton compared to last Friday. At the start of the week, two domestic PC factories raised their latest ex-factory prices by varying amounts ranging from 100 to 300 CNY/ton; pricing adjustments from other factories remain unclear. In the spot market, both East and South China regions were primarily characterized by wait-and-see consolidation, with some price centers oscillating within ranges. Currently, fundamentals lack clear directional news, supply-demand competition remains fierce, and holders are mainly observing and selling according to market trends. Downstream inquiries were rare, and rigid demand transactions remained dominant.
