Taking East China as the benchmark, domestic BPA prices closed at 11,200 RMB/ton today, within a range of 11,100–11,300 RMB/ton. This level was stable compared to the previous trading day, aligning with morning expectations. The BPA market operated in a stalemate; producers faced low inventory pressure and maintained stable quotes, while downstream inquiry sentiment was weak. Buyers primarily consumed contract volumes and existing raw material inventories. With limited operational room for both sides, on-market trading activity was sparse.

  1. Production Dynamics

Today, the domestic BPA capacity utilization rate hovered around 68.60%, and the industry profit margin stood at -911 RMB/ton.

  1. Price Forecast

In the short term, the BPA market is expected to experience minor fluctuations. As the period of price stability extends, some holders may see their sentiment soften; however, major offers are unlikely to change significantly. Downstream inquiries remain scarce, and trading volume is insufficient, leading to narrow-range fluctuations in the short term. It is recommended to closely monitor actual downstream procurement expectations and the production and shipment schedules of key manufacturers. Cautious operations are advised.

  1. Related Product Status

Phenol: Taking East China as the benchmark, phenol prices closed at 9,475 RMB/ton today, an increase of 75 RMB/ton from the previous trading day. The domestic phenol market center of gravity warmed slightly. Rising feedstock benzene prices supported steady seller sentiment, reducing willingness to offer discounts. Sellers focused on cautious high-priced offers, while downstream end-users entered the market mainly for rigid demand, replenishing stock at appropriate prices. Negotiation atmosphere remained flat.

Acetone: Taking Jiangsu province as the benchmark, acetone prices closed at 8,625 RMB/ton today, a decrease of 75 RMB/ton from the previous trading day. The East China acetone market operated weakly. Terminal buying support was limited, with purchases mainly consisting of small orders driven by rigid demand. Holders quoted prices in line with market trends, resulting in lukewarm trading activity. Consequently, the market negotiation center shifted downward, with transactions concentrated among lower-priced goods.

Epoxy Resin: Taking East China as the benchmark, the ex-factory net water price for liquid E-51 epoxy resin closed at 14,900–15,200 RMB/ton, remaining flat month-on-month. In the Huangshan region, the spot cash peripheral price for solid E-12 epoxy resin closed at 14,400–14,800 RMB/ton, an increase of 100 RMB/ton from the previous trading day, meeting morning market expectations. Feedstock ECH prices rose slightly, increasing cost pressures for epoxy resin manufacturers. Factory offers increased moderately, but downstream demand follow-through was limited. The liquid resin market center remained consolidated, while solid resin prices saw a slight upward push.

Polycarbonate (PC): The domestic PC market maintained a firm trend today, with the price center rising further in some segments. By the afternoon close, the negotiation range for domestic PC materials in East China was 12,650–15,050 RMB/ton, with the center generally rising by approximately 100 RMB/ton compared to yesterday. This week, domestic PC factories raised latest ex-factory prices by 200–400 RMB/ton. Zhejiang Petrochemical's auction opened high with two rounds of transactions completed, prices rising 100 RMB/ton compared to last week. In the spot market, price centers in East and South China showed steady upward movement. Strong cost support across the industrial chain persists, and there is no significant pressure on the supply side. Sellers maintain a cautious and mild stance, primarily adopting wait-and-see tactics to sustain prices. Downstream inquiries remain limited to rigid demand, and trading pace is slow.
