On March 24 local time, Philippine President Marcos declared a state of national energy emergency to address energy issues arising from the conflict in the Middle East.
Marcos announced the implementation of a "whole-of-government" response to ensure stable energy supply, support key sectors such as transportation, agriculture, and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, and protect the public from the impacts of oil supply disruptions.
