On January 6, 2026, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to initiate a Section 337 investigation (Investigation No. 337-TA-1476) concerning Certain Glycerol Esters of Rosin and Packaging Thereof. On December 4, 2025, T&R Chemicals, Inc. of Clint, Texas, filed a petition with the ITC, alleging that the importation, sale for importation, and sale within the United States after importation of the products in question violate Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, based on false advertising and tortious interference. The complainant requested that the ITC issue a limited exclusion order and a cease and desist order. The respondents named in the investigation are Caragum International of Le Rove, France, and Kemi Pine Rosins Portugal S.A. of Cantanhede, Portugal. The ITC will set a target date for completing the investigation within 45 days after institution. Unless vetoed by the U.S. Trade Representative for policy reasons, any remedial orders issued by the ITC in Section 337 investigations take effect on the date of issuance and become final on the 60th day after issuance.
