A MEG plant with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons in South China is scheduled to shut down for maintenance starting June 5, with the outage expected to last until around November.
As of June 10, 2026, the total expected arrival volume of ethylene glycol at East China's main ports is 41,800 tons, including 31,800 tons at Zhangjiagang and 10,000 tons at Jiangyin. No arrivals are planned for other port areas.
As of June 4, total MEG inventory at East China's main ports stood at 606,000 tons, flat compared to the previous period and down 40,000 tons from last Thursday. Detailed breakdown: Zhangjiagang 300,000 tons, Taicang 200,000 tons, Jiangyin and Changzhou 51,000 tons, Shanghai and Changshu 55,000 tons. In terms of shipments: during the period, daily shipments averaged 3,200 tons at Zhangjiagang and around 2,400 tons at Taicang.
