Total investment exceeds 4.2 billion yuan! The 100,000-ton lithium iron phosphate project in Meishan, Sichuan, accelerates progress

According to information published on the official website of the Meishan City Planning and Natural Resources Bureau in Sichuan Province, the "pre-approval announcement for the 100,000-ton special lithium iron phosphate and 100,000-ton special lithium iron phosphate cathode material project of Sichuan Jinyuansheng New Energy Materials Co., Ltd." has been recently released. The environmental impact assessment information for the project indicates that it is located in the Ganmei Industrial Park. The project involves the procurement of advanced equipment and related supporting facilities, including reaction vessels, filter presses, flash dryers, sand mills, spray dryers, and tunnel kilns, to establish a flexible production line for lithium iron phosphate/lithium iron phosphate cathode materials. The production process employs the iron powder method to produce lithium iron phosphate, which is then further processed via high-temperature solid-phase synthesis to produce lithium iron phosphate cathode materials. It is reported that the project will be constructed in two phases, with a planned investment of 4.23 billion yuan. The first phase involves the construction of two flexible production lines for lithium iron phosphate/lithium iron phosphate cathode materials (each capable of producing 5,000 tons/year of lithium iron phosphate cathode materials and flexibly producing 5,000 tons/year of lithium iron phosphate), as well as one pilot production line for lithium iron phosphate (capable of producing 1,000 tons/year of lithium iron phosphate). The estimated total investment for the first phase is approximately 540 million yuan, including about 15.5 million yuan allocated for environmental protection. The second phase will involve the construction of nine flexible production lines for lithium iron phosphate/lithium iron phosphate cathode materials, each capable of producing 10,000 tons/year of lithium iron phosphate cathode materials and flexibly producing 10,000 tons/year of lithium iron phosphate, resulting in a flexible production capacity of 90,000 tons/year for lithium iron phosphate/lithium iron phosphate cathode materials.
