(Note: Due to revisions in some historical data, please refer to the latest figures for this week.)

Sample Description:
The weekly methanol production and capacity utilization data provided by Chempricehub are based on primary statistical surveys. The sample covers 181 methanol production enterprises nationwide, representing a 100% coverage rate. The statistical period runs from Friday of the previous week to Thursday of the current week. Data is released every Thursday at 14:30 on working days.

Definitions:

  • Production Volume: Generally refers to the quantity of commodity products actually produced by manufacturing enterprises within a specified period that meet relevant standards (concept of commodity volume; refers to weight or volume under specific units of measurement), i.e., actual output.
  • Capacity Utilization Rate: Refers to the degree of utilization of an enterprise's production capacity, also known as operating load. It is typically calculated as the ratio of product output or raw material processing volume to effective capacity.

Statistical Scope:
The weekly production and capacity utilization statistics cover the period from Friday of the previous week to Thursday of the current week. Data is released every Thursday at 14:30 on working days.

Saw methanol capacity utilization dip to 88.94% with a 3.71% WoW production drop, driven by North China outages. Tighter supply might support spot prices, but weak downstream demand limits margin recovery. I expect short..
