Sample Description:
The capacity utilization sample covers 12 domestic DBP production enterprises and their respective plants, achieving a 100% sample coverage rate.

Definition:
Capacity utilization refers to the degree to which an enterprise’s production capacity is being used. It is generally calculated as the ratio of actual product output or raw material processing volume to effective capacity. The weekly DBP capacity utilization data published by Chempricehub represents the average capacity utilization across sample enterprises over a seven-day period, derived from the ratio of actual DBP production to designed capacity.

Statistical Methodology:

  • Reporting Period: The statistical cycle for Chempricehub’s DBP capacity utilization spans from the previous Friday to the current Thursday.
  • Publication Time: Data is released between 15:00 and 17:30 on every working Thursday.
  • Effective Capacity Adjustment: At year-end, Chempricehub excludes capacities that have been continuously shut down for more than two calendar years or those officially announced as exiting DBP production from the definition of "effective capacity." These excluded units are not included in the denominator for capacity utilization calculations.
