Weekly Production Profit Statistics for Acrylic Emulsion in China (October 16–22, 2026)

Published on 2026-10-22

As of October 22, 2026, the theoretical gross margin for pure acrylic emulsion production this week stood at CNY 774.5 per ton, representing a week-over-week increase of CNY 104.5 per ton, or 15.60%. Meanwhile, the theoretical gross margin for styrene-acrylic (BA-ST) emulsion production was -CNY 207.6 per ton, a week-over-week improvement of CNY 77.3 per ton, or 27.13%. This slight recovery in profitability was primarily driven by the downward trend in butyl acrylate prices and the fluctuating movement of styrene prices (initial decline followed by a rise), while emulsion selling prices remained stable.

Sample Description:
The data reflects theoretical cost and profit monitoring based on Chempricehub’s recorded prices for pure acrylic and styrene-acrylic emulsions, as well as listed raw material prices, collected on the data release date.

Definitions:

  • Cost: Production cost refers to the sum of direct expenses, direct labor, and indirect manufacturing overhead incurred by an enterprise to produce a specific type and quantity of products. For acrylic emulsions, the production cost is calculated theoretically based on the three primary raw materials: butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate (MMA), and styrene.
  • Profit: The production profit is calculated using the market prices of pure acrylic and styrene-acrylic emulsions as benchmarks. It is defined as the emulsion price minus total costs and additional fees (excluding financial expenses).

Statistical Methodology:
The statistical period covers last Friday through this Thursday, comparing profit data from this Thursday against that of last Thursday. Chempricehub’s acrylic emulsion profit data is first-hand statistical information, released between 15:00 and 17:00 on Thursdays during working days.

Saw the weekly acrylic emulsion margin data; pure grades jumped 15.6% on lower butyl acrylate feedstock costs, while styrene-acrylic losses narrowed. Stable downstream demand and flat selling prices suggest this is a cos..
